About Us
Tucked away in a deep and wild section of La Bertrand river valley, Le Moulin des 13 Vents offers small groups of friends and families the perfect escape into nature. Guests are relaxed into the tranquil atmosphere by the sounds of birds in the trees and the bubbling of water in the river. While originally a mill, the property is most defined physically and throughout the community as a trout farm. While climate change has reduced the flow of on La Bertrand, the river that supplies the property with water, beyond it’s ability to sustain the extensive trout farm and native river trout populations, many of the ponds and basins remain and provide home to bountiful wildlife.
Driven by sustainability and inclusion
Sustainability
We are fortunate to be a home for fauna such as river otters, fish, frogs, deer, wild pigs, salamanders, loir, badgers, ducks, snakes, bats, owls, bugs, birds, lizards, foxes and so much more! This comes with great responsibility. We are committed to act as stewards; living, working and playing holistically within our environment.
Inclusion
We believe in the right for ALL to play and enjoy the beauty that nature has to offer. We strive to create a welcoming and safe environment for all people (and animals) and will attempt to make accommodations, just send us a message and ask!
While at this point our property is not suitable for individuals with mobility challenges we intend to focus on accessible accommodation as we grow and expand. Additionally we aim to cater to our vegetarian clientele in expansion plans.
